Some Post Election Observations

From The Anchoress:

Bush should have done a more thorough housecleaning when he took office - he left too many media-palsy Clintonistas in positions of influence when he came in. (What was the first thing Hillary said when she got into the WH the first time? “We need to get their people out and our people in…” If nothing else, that woman is clear about keeping her flank covered.)

And Michelle Malkin:

The GOP lost. Conservatism prevailed. "San Francisco values" may control the gavels in Congress, but they do not control America.

Property rights won out in several states, racial discrimination lost in Michigan, and prop-87 lost in California.

I think the big question the media will ask Speaker Pelosi is what is she going to do to try and unite the country? Now that the Democrats control the House (and most likely the Senate) don't they need to reach out to Republicans rather than play partisan politics? Don't they need to be uniters and not dividers?
