Fred and Jeri Thompson on Larry King
Fred answers the "lazy question" by pointing out that he is a slow talking, slow walking Tennessean. Good enough for me. Honestly, Reagan was not all together with it during his second term but he was conservative and so were the people that worked for him. To me that's much more important than pressing flesh on the campaign trail. I don't think Fred is lazy. I just don't think he necessarily has the temperament to run around half the country eating rubbery chicken and glad handing people for their votes.
I hope this doesn't cost him the election but it might. It would be shame, though.
